Wand making and what wood/crystal to use?

I recently started dabbling in the Occult.
And have chosen a grey path.

But I am going to make my wand tonight as it's just passed Full moon.

I'm wondering as I havn't studied crystals and wands much etc
What Crystal and wood should I use for Aggressive Magick?
And yes I know the Karma rules and the Three times rule etc
And also what crystal and woods are best for protection (not healing protection)
and Finally what are the best choice for summoning in general?

There are several points here that seem to suggest problems.

1. If you are a dabbler then you are utterly wasting your time.

2. There is no such thing as a "grey" path, or you could reasonably call all paths gray - since there is no path which is exclusively "white" and no path which is exclusively "black" or for that matter exclusively any other color, those are silly generalizations/pigeon-holes made by someone who has no idea what they are talking about.

3. No one who wishes to craft a magical tool trys to create -after- the full moon... If you want to create you do it while the moon is waxing (growing larger) you want to diminish something you do it when the moon is waning(shrinking smaller).

4. You haven't studied crystals or wands but you wish to make a wand. That is like saying you haven't studied chemistry or biology but you want to genetically engineer a new string of DNA.

5. The materials you want to use are either,

A. for "aggressive" correspondences
Wood: Cherry(war) wrap with iron wire or Holly(fire) wrap with bronze wire.
Crystal: ruby(passion), garnet(discipline), bloodstone(endurance), red agate(strength), red topaz(honor)
Stain: red ochre
Incense/oils: coriander, patchouli, pine, civet, dragon's blood resin

B. for protection I would not recommend that you use a wand
try a platinum ring or a lamen(linen)/shield(copper)/pentacle(lead)

C. for summoning?
It depends who you are summoning.
