The Blackberry Torch providing a 3.2 inch high resolution touch screen
The Blackberry Torch has a 3.2 inch high resolution touch screen with a slide out full Qwerty keyboard together providing a seamless user interface and fast data input. One of the latest to the Blackberry family of smart phones, it also provides all of the usual messaging and media player features expected and a powerful camera.
The handset has 512 megabytes of flash memory and 512 megabytes of random access memory (SDRAM) to provide constant capability when using multiple applications at once to perform tasks or be entertained. The internal storage memory is 4 gigabytes eMMC plus a further 4 gigabytes on a standard media card for efficient storage of photos and videos among other files, and allowing fast access to sync when connected to a computer. On top of this further expandable storage is also provided with the microSd card slot which is capable of offering up to 32 gigabytes of storage.
The Torch has a 5 megapixel camera with continuos auto focus and featuring image stabilization. It also has a flash to create better light conditions when capturing images or video (used as a video light). It has 11 scene modes to help you to create great photos first time and 2 times digital zoom for the perfect effect. The video recording meanwhile is in VGA (640 by 480) resolution. Images and videos are also automatically location tagged (geotagging).
The Media Player offered provides track sorting, easy track selection and more for music, as well as the same for videos. It supports all the major audio and video file formats for compatibility with both Windows Media Player and Apple iTunes. Meanwhile, it supports the Windows Media digital rights management (DRM) 10 for music and videos also.
The handset has a large touch screen with both light sensing and proximity detecting as well as font size selection. The display is touch screen and features a touch screen keyboard ion addition to the slide out Qwerty keyboard with backlighting. The on screen keyboards and screen orientation automatically adjust as you turn the phone. There is also the optical trackpad on the front of the handset to provide easy scrolling and further navigation.
The Blackberry Torch provides a seamless user interface and allows you to perform multiple tasks through its many applications with speed provided by its memory capabilities. It features a full media player, GPS and other location based services as well as allowing the user a choice with both onscreen and hardware input and navigation.
