Antique Oak Carved Chair scottish thistle design but the makers print is worn off?

My wife and I purchased this chair for our 50th wedding anniversary and are having a hard time identifying the maker, all that can be made out on the bottom of the chair is N.Y. and E&W but other than that nothing is legible can anyone identify or have the same style chair?
